I am Andrew Overton Pratt, a Bay Area founder, independent researcher, private investigator, and dad of three early learners. My patrilineal lineage, documented to 16th-century England and extending further as research continues, runs through colonial founders of Hartford, physicians of New Orleans’ Garden District, the iconic Pratt Bros. Sporting Goods store in Redlands that thrived for 60 years through a World War, a Purple Heart WWII hero, and a highly decorated Cold War Air Force colonel. That history lives in me every time I think about what we build, why we build it, and who we are building it for.

By day, I’m a stay-at-home father, walking my son to school and preparing my two youngest for their bright educational future. Here on Substack, I write about technology, stewardship, community, and the long view because I know what it looks like when a family pays attention to the future for generations.​
